GMA Network to start airing Thai Drama “You’re My Destiny” this June

  • GMA Network to premier the first ever Thai drama in the Philippine Television
  • “You’re My Destiny” to be aired staring June 4

After the widespread success of Korean telenovelas (or Koreanovelas) across the country, GMA Network is scheduled to show Thai television soap operas (or Lakorn) in the local television for the first time ever.

As ABS-CBN premiered Thai movies in the Philippine television with ‘Crazy Little Thing Called’ Love starring Mario Maurer and Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul,  GMA Network is set to air the Thai drama ‘You’re My Destiny’  starring Esther Supreeleela as Martina, and Wisetkaew Sukrit as Paolo.

The story includes a fresher take on the popular K-Drama series, Fated To Love You.

You’re My Destiny tells the love story of two office workers. Paolo who is a successor of a large company and Martina, who is a secretary in a law firm. The two meet at a cruise ship as Paolo planned to propose to his current girlfriend while Martina plans to sleep with his then boyfriend. Both ended up being drunk and drowsy as they unconsciously sleep with each other, failing to do their original plans. Although repulsed with the idea of impregnating a stranger, Paolo then learns to be close and eventually fall in love with Martina.

You’re My Destiny will start airing on GMA Network this June 4. No announcement of airing time has been made.
