Aguirre, Acosta support new group that aims to fight ‘yellowtards’

  • New Pro-Duterte group, Citizen National Guard, aims to fight ‘yellowtards’
  • ‘Yellowtards’ is the ‘Enemies of the State’

“Enemies of the State” as Pro-Duterte groups described the emerging ‘yellowtards’ in the country.

Two top justice officials showed support for a newly-formed organization called ‘Citizen National Guard’ (CNG). Justice secretary Vitaliano Aguirre and Public Attorney’s Office chief Persida Acosta were present at the launch of the group on Tuesday.

This is a group formed by retired soldiers and other supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte. Its mission is to protect the current administration from the so-called ‘enemies of the state’ or for more detailed description, ‘seditious political opposition’.

Not focusing on the less harmful enemies, CNG is set to fight other state enemies such as Islamic State-inspired terrorists, Communist rebel, drug cartels, and some intelligence agencies eyeing to kick Duterte out of the authority.

“Kayo po ang magiging tinig na maririnig ng ating mga kababayan at gayundin kung nakikinig po yung ilang grupo na gustong wasakin ang ating bayan,” Acosta said in a report by ABS-CBN News.

The group together with their ally, Save The Nation, addressed that the plagues we face today threaten the ‘welfare of the citizenry, peace and order, and even the Philippines’ sovereignty’.

In spite criticisms, CNG will not surrender its sword until their sole objective is done.
