Dharwad, India–The family of Kumar Marewad, 17 years old, is already grieving after he was proclaimed dead from a dog bite. On the way to his funeral, everyone was shocked to see him moving his fingers and suddenly waking up.
The teenage boy was bitten by a stray dog a month before he died. On his supposed last week on Earth, he had a high fever and was rushed to Dharwad Hospital. He was put on a ventilator, but his condition just went worse.
The doctors advised the parents of the kid that he had a small chance of surviving. The Times Of India reported that the parents were also given a choice to continue the treatment or to take their child home.
One time, they noticed that Kumar no longer moves, and showed no signs of life. No body movements or breathing. The family was quick to arrange the funeral, assuming that Kumar has died already.
Coming to Life
On the way to the funeral, which is not that far from the family’s house, the boy suddenly rose and started to breathe again.
The family rushed him back to the hospital and was confined again. The doctors suspected that he suffered from an infection called meningoencephalitis, caused by rabies.
The parents appealed for financial support for their son to continue the treatment. His bills in the hospital are not a joke, and the family calls for help.
