Pennsylvania--A nurse was caught taking naked videos of his patients using a hidden cellphone in his dermatology office.
The 45-year-old James Close of Penn Medicine Dermatology allegedly filmed eight different patients.
Fox News reported that it was during their visits when Close takes videos of them using his iPhone.
It was on February 13 when a 17-year-old patient of Close spotted a silver iPhone on the ground while she was getting undressed for her radiation treatment.
Detective Richard Meehl investigated the incident and wrote an affidavit that said, “The iPhone’s screen indicated that it was recording live video and that it had been doing so for 25 seconds. She could see her full nude reflection on the active iPhone camera. She turned the phone over to facility staff upon discovering it at her feet.”
A search warrant was soon issued for the suspect’s phone and discovered 18 more videos of the teen were recorded. In addition, it was also found out that there are 7 other victims, in which 4 were completely naked and one was nude below.
Legal Matters
His arraignment was scheduled on March 7 as 43 charges awaited him and was held at the Bucks County Correctional. The naked videos on his phone started on January 18 and his last was on February 13.
According to Larry King, a spokesperson of the County District Attorney’s Office, Close will face a $100,000 bail.
