16. Emilio Aguinaldo – the first Philippine President who declared the country’s independence from Spain. Emilio Aguinaldo died on February 6, 1964 and was buried behind his house which is now known as the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite.

17. Apolinario Mabini – the “Sublime paralytic”, Mabini is best known as the “Brains of Katipunan” for his role in the Philippine revolution against the Spaniards. Mabini died on May 13, 1903.

He was first buried at the Manila Chinese Cemetery then transferred to Manila North Cemetery and later re-interred at the Manila Shrine in Tanauan, Batangas.
