4. President Manuel L. Quezon – 2nd President of the Philippines and 1st President of the Commonwealth. Quezon is regarded as the “Father of the Filipino Language”. Quezon died on August 1, 1944 and was initially interred at Manila North Cemetery before transferring to Quezon Memorial Circle.

5. Josefa Llanes Escoda – founder of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines and fought during the World War II. She died on January 6, 1945 and was buried in an unmarked grave at La Loma Cemetery.
