Student wears Christmas lights to get a bonus score for a finals exam at UP

How far should a student go to pass their test? A student from the University of the Philippines just went to the extremes to make sure she got a passing grade.

In a post in Narinig ko sa UP (Overheard at UP) Facebook Page, a student named Raphaella Rocero posted a photo of a student dressed up with Christmas lights because their professor promised to give bonus points to students who would be creative enough to be in a Christmas costume. The post immediately went viral on social media.

Raphaella’s post said,

STAT 101 FINALS

P.S. Sa mga nag-aalala, she was completely safe po. Sinigurado niya and ni prof na safe yung ginagawa niya. And di naman naka-on yung lights the entire exam hahaha

[Our professor told us that he will give bonus points to the previous scores of students who will wear wacky costumes on the day of the finals exam. It was our professor’s special request to wear Christmas-related costumes, that’s why this is what my classmate wore. She really had to sit near the electrical outlet (to light up her costume). She really had to risk her life just to get the bonus points. P.S. To those who are worried, she was completely safe. Our professor and my classmate made sure that what she dis was safe. And the lights were not lit during the entire duration of the exam.
