It certainly was a joyous occasion yet everyone had tears in their eyes, especially during the “wedding” dance, for they all knew that Lila’s time was limited and it could well be the last birthday they would ever spend with her.
While a lot of money was spent to make the grand event a huge success, everyone knew that seeing Lila smile and feel happy was worth every single cent they spent or donated for the birthday party. Although everyone had tears in their eyes, Lila was smiling. It was one of the best days in her life.
Her family is thankful for everyone who helped fund the campaign and made the event a huge success despite many of these people not personally knowing Lila or her family. Most of them were simply touched by this brave girl’s story.
