BEWARE: Fake Uratex beds being sold by scammers roaming in trucks

A Facebook post about fake Uratex beds being sold in villages has been circulating on social media for quite sometime now.

Netizen K. De Pedro shared his experience about some men roaming in a truck allegedly selling fake foam mattresses. The men convinced the victim that the supposed Uratex beds are sold at a very cheap price because they are taken directly from Uratex. They bought the bed thinking it was a wise investment.

But after their kids jumped up and down the bed, the said Uratex bed broke in half. So much for their Php 4,500.

This happened two years ago.

On July 29, 2015, somebody came up to him again and offered him a Uratex bed being sold at half the price. It went on the same way as two years ago so he pretended to be interested in buying. He actually called the police.

De Pedro said there are other conmen with the same modus operandi, so he warned the public about the scheme. He also reposted a warning from Uratex’s Facebook account telling consumers to be aware of fakes.
