Kind police officer caught on camera helping injured senior citizen

Another inspiring post is making rounds on social media after netizen JA T. Lamela uploaded photos of a police officer assisting a senior citizen who he said injured his head. The police officer, known to people from Bambang, Pasig to be Police Sr. Inspector Rodrigo De Dios happened to pass by the area, saw the old man bloodied, and then brought him to the hospital.

Netizens who were able to identify Police Sr. Inspector De Dios, testified to the inspector’s natural kindness and dedication to his work.  They even said he was a religious cop who is also a good family man. He is indeed a role model for all the other policemen:

D. Balilo:Saludo ako sayo sir! Bihira na yung ganyang pulis! Sana dumami pa kagaya mo! (I salute you sir! Officers like you are hard to find! We hope there are some more like you!)”

E. Guirre:Hindi ako nagtataka. Si Rigo pa na kapitbahay ko, napakabuting tao mula’t sapul. All praise… (I’m not surprised. He’s my neighbor and a good man.)”

M. Perlac: “The pride of Pasig Police Station !!we salute you sir!!”

B. De Jesus: “Indeed a good example for other policemen to follow…”

B. Rodrigo:Ipinagmamalaki po namin dito sa bambang c rico….angkan po kc ng de dios yan napakabait na tao mga yan…. (We are proud of him. He’s a De Dios, a family of good men).”

N. Bernardo: “I know the policeman, he is Rigor de Dios, an officer and a very religious man, and a good family man.”

T.R. Mendoza: “Im very proud of you! please give credit for that, i do really appreciate what you did, i salute you. Keep on doing good works.. that’s a very good example for some others.”

L. Manuel: “Proud of you Police Sr. Inspector Rodrigo De Dios ………salute!”

V. M. Carodan:Good job mate, ipinagmamalaki ka ng class maringal ’08 (Good job, mate, Class Maringal ’08 is proud of you).”

J. Leunam:Kilala ko yung pulis si Capt. Rodrigo De Dios talagang mabait na pulis siya at matulungin sa kapwa saludo ako sa iyo kapitan (I know the policeman, he’s kind and compassionate to others. I salute you Captain).”

C. Lumbera:My mangilan ngilan p din n talagang matinong pulis, sana lahat ganyan good job sir, keep it up! (There’s still a few decent policemen, I hope everyone is like you, good job sir, keep it up!)”

In a place where a police officer’s image and credibility are often doubted, it’s such a relief to find someone who remains faithful to his sworn duty.
