At GMA’s welcome dinner on July 27 at The Manila Polo Club, he expressed his satisfaction regarding his last fight, “I’m so happy sa performance ko last fight, and of course, nag-undergo tayo ng hardwork at discipline. Talagang we gave our best. Pinapanood ko ‘yung sarili ko, okay pa.”

It looks like Pacman won’t be retiring anytime soon as he shared that he has a possible fight on December.

“[Sa] December 2, [ang] posibleng fight. ‘Di pa nag-discuss about the next opponent, [pati] ang venue. Kasama iyan sa discussion kapag mag-start na ang discussion about my opponent,” the boxer stated. He added, “Any negotiations about my next fight, ako [ang] makikipag-usap.

“Expect more fights to come, giving honor to our country, and of course the most important thing, I want to glorify the name of God.”

In addition to this, Paquiao thanked everyone in GMA for all the support and prayers that he received during his latest match.  “I [want to] thank all of you for always [being] there [na] nakasuporta at nagdarasal. [Up or] down, nandiyan kayo parati [na] nagmamahal sa akin. That love, I will never forget [because] that love is from God. My love for you is always there as a brother in Christ. Thank you so much, mga Kapuso.”

GMA’s President and CEO Felipe Gozon said nothing but praises to Paquiao. “I don’t think there was any boxer before Manny who has won the championship in eight weight divisions. And for that matter, I don’t think in the many, many years to come, there will be another one dahil hindi pa po tapos ‘yung ating champion. Marami pa siyang honor and victories na ating makikita.”
