Netizen shares a sad story of an OFW who ordered food for the girl he likes

Sometimes one of the challenges of having a long-distance relationship is you need to trust each other stronger for the relationship to work. It takes even more courage to enter the LDR if you’re not even together yet.

But one overseas Filipino worker (OFW) never expected that simple food delivery would ead to a sudden rejection.

A Facebook user named Cristhian Escolano handles the page Pabili sa Outside World wherein he takes orders from those living in Taguig and Makati, then delivers it right in front of their doorstep.

On May 7, he shared a sad story of an OFW named James.

Christhian said that James ordered Macao Imperial Milk Tea, Krispy Kreme, and a cake from Conti’s to be delivered as a surprise to a girl he’s then pursuing.

“May nag-order samin. Si James. OFW and i-deliver daw tong cake, milktea, and donuts sa nililigawan niya dito sa Taguig. I-surprise niya daw. So ok na nag bayad agad 3 days ahead,” the netizen wrote.

But when Christhian arrived at the lady’s house, she didn’t accept the gifts from James. The helper told him that the girl already has a boyfriend.

“So pag deliver namin sa bahay sabi nung kasambahay hindi daw tatanggap ng anything si girl from James dahil may boyfriend na daw siya.”

Christhian was then left with the dilemma of how to tell James the heartbreaking news.

“So tinawagan ko si James sabi ko ayaw tanggapin ni girl. Tinanong niya ko bakit? Hindi ko masabi kasi alam ko masaksaktan siya.”

But after asking, again and again, Christhian finally told James the truth. That the girl he likes already has a boyfriend.

Heartbroken, James told Christhian, “Sa inyo nalang yan (food) or ibigay mo kahit kanino.”

The post has now reached more than 52,000 shares on Facebook.
