‘Mag-aartista bago magpulitika!’ Guest’s response on ‘E.A.T.’ draws reactions; Tito Sotto shares insights after show

The episode’s segment, including Val’s intriguing response, is available for viewing on the official TVJ Facebook page.

The recent episode of the noontime show “E.A.T.” (Enjoying All Together) has sparked a wave of discussions on social media after a guest’s response regarding his future plans caught the attention of netizens.

Val Llamelo, a summa cum laude college graduate and NCPAG class valedictorian from UP Diliman, shared his experiences as a working student and his aspirations for the future.

The segment, titled “Babala! ‘Wag Kayong Ganuuun…” (Warning! Don’t Be Like That…), featured Val’s achievements and journey to academic excellence.

However, it was the exchange about his post-college plans that led to a flurry of reactions.

The hosts of the show, including Ryan Agoncillo, Allan K, Paolo Ballesteros, and Miles Ocampo, inquired about Val’s future aspirations after completing his studies. Ryan asked directly, “Kasi Public Administration ‘yong course eh. Are you gonna go into politics?”

Val, with his characteristic candor, responded, “Parang gusto ko na lang mag-artista. Tapos pag sumikat ako, tumakbo ako sa politics.”

Joey De Leon, another host, praised Val’s parents for raising him well in light of his ambitious plans.

The response triggered a variety of reactions and comments from netizens, as discussions about the intersection of entertainment and politics continue to be a topic of interest in the Philippines. Many well-known personalities have entered the political arena in the country.

Interestingly, Val later took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify his intentions. He revealed that Tito Sotto, one of the hosts, talked to him after the show.

In addition to the current buzz, Val’s recent valedictory speech has also gained significant attention due to his challenging and thought-provoking message. As conversations surrounding his plans for the future and the dynamic between the entertainment industry and politics continue, netizens and viewers alike eagerly await his journey.
