Father gets viral for accepting son’s true gender preference

A father has gone viral after accepting his son’s true gender.

Netizens were delighted by the father who fully accepted his child after fulfilling his birthday request.

Aside from fulfilling the request, netizens admired the special message from the father, John Alexis Avestrus. This message showed his full support for his child, Santino Zach Avestrus.

“Pinanganak kang lalaki pero pusong babae. Di ako magician para gawin kang ija! Pero mahal kita kaya, suporta ako sa kung anuman ang gusto mo,” the father wrote in a viral Facebook post.

“Iyan ang wish mo isa ka ng sirena. Huwag mo hayaang ibaba nila ang bandera mo! I love you Santino, Papa B,” Alexis added.

In an interview with Balita, Alexis said Santino is the child any father wants.

“Sa limang anak ko po, apat na lalaki at isang babae, siya po yung pinakamalambing,” he said.

He also shared that Santino likes to dance on TikTok and sometimes wears female clothing only inside their home.

“Mahilig po siyang sumayaw nang malabot at nagsusuot po siya minsan ng pambabae pero dito lang po sa bahay kapag trip niya sumayaw sa TikTok,” he added.

After the post turned viral, Alexis’ kindness towards his child impressed and touched many netizens. Parents rarely accept and support their children’s different preferences, according to netizens.
