P3PWD Partylist Rep. Rowena Guanzon sheds light on a video of her in “beast mode”

Initially, Guanzon rushed to the incident area to “rescue” her nephew but she got involved in the commotion somehow.

A viral video has emerged of former COMELEC Commissioner and P3PWD (The Komunidad ng Pamilya Pasyente at Persons with Disabilities) Partylist Representative Rowena Guanzon in “beast mode” during an encounter with a drunk individual at the ‘Dinagsa Festival’ in Cadiz City.

A video posted on Facebook by user Cyn Thia shows Guanzon in an altercation with a man who is reported to be drunk. The incident is said to have taken place on January 29th. The video shows Guanzon brandishing her cane while shouting.

Many harsh comments were thrown at Guanzon by netizens who watched the viral video.

“Lasing sila naninigarilyo uminom sa sidewalk. Inapakan ang paa ko. Sinaway ko sinigawan pa ako. Attempted to attack me. Had to defend myself with my walking cane to stop him kasi lumalapit baka sakalin ako ng gago,” Guanzon said in a tweet.

It appears Guanzon’s nephew was “touched” without consent. Her nephew was “beaten up” but wasn’t given a chance to fight back, which only made her angry. Guanzon also revealed that one of the men stepped on her foot and attempted to escalate the situation.

Initially, Guanzon rushed to the incident area to “rescue” her nephew but she got involved in the commotion somehow.

According to a netizen, the drunk man wanted to lure Guanzon and things may have ended more disastrously.

Before Guanzon made the tweets, netizens blasted her for being “entitled” since the video doesn’t tell the whole story.
