Is the Bondee app associated with the devil?

Bondee is a new app that simulates living with friends and features customizable 3D animated avatars that can perform various activities such as sitting, dancing, and clubbing.

Bondee, the number one trending metaverse app in the Philippines, has made headlines once again after a netizen claimed that it has “demonic” elements.

Facebook user Shane Xye shared her thoughts on the simulation-type game.

According to her, Bondee is associated with the devil.

Ang bondee ay isang larong sikat ngayon sa social media dahil pwede ka ritong magcustomize ng kwarto o mga characters. Nilalaro ito ngayon ng mga kabataan ngunit hindi nila alam na gawa ito sa masama,” she wrote.

She explained that the word “Bondee” has six letters. And if you divide it by two, the quotient is three. Three digits make up the number 666, she explained.

The netizen continues on to explain that when split into two, the word “bond” equates to “bonding” and “dee” means “deevil.”

bond + deevil = bonding with the devil,” she added.

Netizens aren’t sure if Shane was being serious but based on the reactions, it’s safe to say that most see her post as satire.

The number 666 is used to signify the Devil, the Antichrist, or evil in general. The number 666 has been viewed negatively due to its association with the biblical concept of “the number of the beast,” but this perception is largely unjustified.

Bondee is a new app that simulates living with friends and features customizable 3D animated avatars that can perform various activities such as sitting, dancing, and clubbing. Users can also choose their avatar’s clothing and decorate their virtual room.

Up to 50 friends can be added to the metaverse, which also incorporates NFT (non-fungible tokens) elements. Bondee was created by Singapore-based tech start-up firm Metadream, which has teams in Japan and South Korea, and data centers in various locations such as Singapore, the USA, and South Korea.

The company plans to open regional operations centers in the Philippines and Thailand. Recently, rumors emerged regarding the app leaking users’ credit card information, but Bondee denied these claims and emphasized the security of their users’ data. Bondee can be downloaded for free from Google Play and the App Store.
