Pinoy vlogger sheds light on stolen belongings during a flight to the Philippines

He acknowledged these inconveniences but expressed hope that airline management would improve their services.

Content creator Vanjo Merano who created ‘Panlasang Pinoy’ (The Filipino Taste), to share his collection of Filipino and Asian recipes expressed his disappointment when some of his belongings were stolen from his luggage during his trip from America to Manila.

In a vlog titled “Bad trip sa Pilipinas”, which he uploaded to YouTube on January 22, Vanjo recounted his experience of returning to the Philippines from Chicago during the Christmas season.

Even before getting on the plane, he faced difficulties such as broken TV remotes, headphone jacks, and food trays, which he admitted made him very upset.

He acknowledged these inconveniences but expressed hope that airline management would improve their services.

Unfortunately, the difficulties continued when they arrived in the Philippines, where they had to wait at the baggage carousel for over an hour before getting their luggage. To make matters worse, when they got home, they discovered that most of their “pasalubongs” such as bags, perfumes, and chocolates had been stolen. Vanjo stated that they could not blame anyone for their stolen items.

“Tatlong airport ‘yung pinuntahan namin, hindi ko alam kung saan nawala ‘yon. Hindi ko alam kung paano natin babasahin ‘yung scenario na ‘yon,” he said.

In addition to expressing his disappointment, Vanjo also mentioned that their main goal was to make their loved ones happy during Christmas. They had put in a lot of effort and saved money to buy gifts for them.

He even made a light-hearted comment that the thieves seemed to have known what they were looking for, as they only took the most high-end brands that they had purchased.

“Hindi lang talaga namin matanggap ‘yung mga nagnanakaw pa rin sa mga bagahe kasi, I’m sure, hindi lang naman sa amin nangyari ‘yon,” he said.

Despite the theft, the famous content creator noted that they had a fantastic time in the Philippines during their holiday. They preferred to focus on the trip’s most positive experiences.
