In response to rumors that Toni Gonzaga’s mother, Mommy Pinty, purchased her daughter’s concert tickets, talent manager Ogie Diaz has given his opinion.
He discussed the rumor with his friends Mama Loi and Ate Mrena in his YouTube vlog “Showbiz Update.”
Ate Mrena asked Diaz.
Diaz explained he’d do the same for his child. He said, “500 tickets? Susuportahan mo ‘yung anak mo.”
Mama Loi supported Ogie’s remarks, saying that it might be for relatives who don’t have time to purchase tickets.
However, Ate Mrena thought that 500 would be too much for relatives to attend a concert. She reacted, “Pero kuya, 500 tickets ang binili ni Mommy Pinty, so ibig sabihin hindi malakas ang bentahan.”
Diaz defended Mommy Pinty again for doing what a mother should do.
Siyempre nanay ‘yun Brenda, susuportahan niya ‘yung anak niya,” he said.
Diaz also hopes that Gonzaga’s concert will be a success.
Netizens don’t expect the concert to sell, just like Gonzaga’s entry film “My Teacher” at the 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
According to data gathered by the MMFF management team, My Teacher didn’t even break the top 4 highest-grossing films.
Some have called it a flop after Gonzaga’s husband Paul Soriano called her the most powerful celebrity in the country.
Also, Diaz revealed in a previous video that a mall in Quezon City gave out free movie tickets for one of the film entries. Many speculated that the movie was My Teacher.
