Netizens shattered over the newly-wed groom dying a day after his wedding

Thousands of netizens were left emotional after a newly-wed bride revealed that her partner died shortly after they tied the knot.

Aj Jallorina of Tagaytay City posted on Facebook a photo of her with long-time partner James Steven Chong.

“From marriage certificate to death certificate, From congratulations to condolences,” she said on December 17.

“Mahal ko, hindi ko ito nakutuban. Hindi ako makapaniwala. Napakasaya natin. Saksi ang Ama at ang lahat,” she added.

The couple got married on December 15 and James passed away the following day.

The bride lamented, “…December 16, death certificate mo na ang pinipirmahan ko…kasama sa vow ko ang aasikasuhin kita, pero hindi agad sa funeral mo.”

Jallorina didn’t reveal James’ cause of death.  She furthered, “Mahal, salamat sa sampung taon na pagmamahal…Mahal na mahal kita.”

Event Innovators-Wedding Coordinator, the group who organized the wedding, also sent their condolences.

The couple had been together since 2013 before they were engaged on March 13, 2022.
