Pipay Kipayy and Kaladkaren defend trans who was allegedly discriminated against by BGC clothing store

In a video, he said the store wouldn’t let him try out clothes in the ladies’ fitting room. Instead, he was directed to the men’s fitting room on the second floor.

A trans woman has gone viral after allegedly being discriminated against by a clothing store in Bonifacio Global City (BGC).

During the event, Louis Marasigan, a content creator from San Juan, Batangas, experienced anxiety attacks.

Marasigan expressed sentiments over this untoward experience with BGC saying that it is now 2022, and the management needs to wake up.

In a video, she said the store wouldn’t let her try out clothes in the ladies’ fitting room. Instead, she was directed to the men’s fitting room on the second floor.

Marasigan said, ” I clearly stated that I am a trans woman. Sabi niya may mga nagrereklamo daw. Hindi ko na pinahaba pa. Hindi na ako nakipag-away. Hindi ko na lang sinukat. Binili ko na lang yung mga damit.” She added, “Pero hindi iyon yung point. Hindi kasi ako lalaki.

She thought that the store manager who happens to be part of the LGBT community, would instruct the sales lady to allow her into the ladies’ fitting room, but never did.

The video caught the attention of LGBT content creators Pipay Kipayy and Kaladkaren.

Sarah Elago also tweeted to defend Marasigan, ” Trans women are women.”

On the other hand, Gabriela Partylist called on the clothing establishment to educate its staff more about LGBT issues. It also urged the passage of the SOGIESC Equality Bill to prevent discrimination against people with diverse SOGIESC.
