Will Andrew E accept a government position?

In an interview with PEP.ph, Andrew E said people have been submitting his name in hopes that he’ll be given the opportunity to be a public servant

Rapper Andrew E likes helping the needy but is unsure if he’d accept a position in government under the Marcos administration.

In an interview with PEP.ph, Andrew E said people have been submitting his name in hopes that he’ll be allowed to be a public servant.

“A group of people submitted my name for the government ano,” he said on August 14 at the Manila Polo Club, Makati City.

The rapper is currently focused on working on his Dongalo Wreckords.

Since he now has more clout, he intends to use it to help the needy.

“Siguro it’s about time again, you know, na makatulong naman ako nang kaunti pa sa mga rapper ko na medyo nagtatandaan sila. And yet, gusto ko pa ring dagdagan ang achievements nila,” he said.

However, he thinks others are more qualified than him to hold public office.

“Ako naman, magpapaka-busy na muna ako na tumulong sa tao and at the same time, palawigin din yung career ko na para lalong makatulong again lalo sa marami,” he said.

“Siguro ibigay ko na muna yung chance sa mga tunay na nararapat, much more than me,” he added.

Andrew E has upcoming international shows next month in Canada and Japan.

When asked if he thinks this is the third time his career will peak, the rapper said he treats his newfound fame as another “appreciation.”

“It’s another appreciation na really… ng madla, ng new generation. Or maybe, you know, the younger generation is a new appreciation again for me.

“I don’t say it’s another coming or what. No! Hindi! To that effect, napakalayo yung tanggapin sa akin.

“Sa palad ko, hindi ko tinatanggap yun, e. Pero another stage of appreciation, and probably another generation of appreciating Andrew E. ‘Yan! The best yun!” he furthered.

Andrew E was responsible for the unforgettable campaign chant of Pres. Bongbong Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte during the election campaign.

His support for the UniTeam was met with positive and negative reactions.

Andrew E’s started his career as a DJ in Euphoria, a renowned club.

His television debut was on the variety show ‘That’s Entertainment’, which German Moreno hosted on GMA.

The single ‘Humanap Ka ng Panget’ made him a household name in the Philippine music industry.
