Arjo Atayde appeals to Metro Manila mayors for unity in addressing the flooding

Atayde expressed that flood control is one of the major issues that he will focus on in his term in Congress.

Quezon City District 1 (QCD1) Representative Arjo Atayde is appealing to Metro Manila’s local governments to work together in addressing the floods affecting not only his district but the entire National Capital Region (NCR) as well.

Atayde expressed that flood control is one of the major issues that he will focus on in his term in Congress.

The recent surge of monsoon rains triggered massive floodings in QCD1 and this prodded Atayde to implement feeding programs while supplying necessities to the residents of Barangays Balingasa, Del Monte, Katipunan, Damayan, Masambong, Manresa, Maribolo, Sto. Cristo, and San Antonio.

“I’m doing everything I can to address this issue more quickly since I’m aware of how difficult and burdensome the severe flooding in our district is. We can also resolve this as quickly as possible with your cooperation,” Atayde posted on his social media platforms.

Since areas are interconnected, Atayde implored the LGUs of Metro Manila to collaborate closely in developing sustainable and long-term solutions to the floodings.
