Award-winning actor Piolo Pascual announced his support for the presidential bid of Vice President Leni Robredo, calling her the real face of unity and the only one who can bring the country together.
In a video message, Piolo said VP Leni is the only candidate who has provided inspiration to the Filipino people to work together for the common good and the hope for a better future for the Philippines.
“Ang totoong pagkakaisa ay isang pangako na walang maiiwan, lahat tayo magkakasabay na humahakbang para sa pangarap na lipunan,” Piolo said.
“At ang totoong pagkakaisa, ay inspirasyon at panawagan na tayong lahat ay gumawa ng kabutihan,” he added, stressing Filipinos would go a long way with that kind of unity.
Piolo said that kind of unity would only be achieved under a transparent, honest, and excellent leadership that only VP Leni can provide.
“Ang totoong unity ay pagkakaisa ng taumbayan. Pilipino para sa kapwa Pilipino. Iisa lang ang taong nagpakita at nakapagparamdam niyan sa atin sa loob ng napakaraming taon. Si Leni Robredo lang,” Piolo pointed out.
“At si Leni Robredo lang ang tanging iboboto kong pangulo ngayong eleksyon,” he added.
Pascual stressed that VP Leni has inspired Filipinos to extend a helping hand to their countrymen, especially during the pandemic.
“Parang n’ung simula ng pandemya at nagkakanda-ubusan ng PPE sets para sa ating mga frontliners, mga nagkakaisang Pilipino ang nag-ambagan para mabilis na maaksyunan ang kakulangan,” Piolo said.
“Sa punto ng buhay at kamatayan, ang pagkakaisa natin ang nagbigay ng tatag at pag-asa, kaya marami tayong nagagawa. Hindi para sa sarili, kundi para sa kapwa. Ganito ang itsura ng totoong unity,” he said.
This kind of unity has also driven Filipinos to express their full support for VP Leni’s candidacy, even spending their hard-earned money and time just to attend her grand rallies and other activities.
“Mga magsasakang naglalakad para makarating sa venue. Mga volunteers na gumagastos ng sariling pera para mangampanya. Mga nanay na kasama ang mga anak nila sa laban,” Piolo pointed out.
Just recently, around 220,000 Robredo supporters and volunteers gathered in San Fernando, Pampanga, setting a new record in terms of attendance since the campaign period started.
VP Leni’s “Oplan Angat Agad” platform is focused on employment, health and education.
She aims to assure that at least one family member is receiving a monthly salary while those who lost their jobs will get a three-month financial assistance while looking for employment.
The Vice President also commits to provide each and every family with free doctor and to make health care affordable for all Filipinos and seeks to provide quality education to students that would help them secure their dream jobs in the future.
