Multi-awarded actress and the Diamond Star, Maricel Soriano recently joined the Leni-Kiko People’s (Birthday) Rally on Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard, Pasay City on April 23, where she only mentioned presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo and left out Senator Kiko Pangilinan.
During the rally, Soriano on the stage threw her famous line from her 1994 film Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin: “Wag mo akong ma-Terry Terry, dahil ang gusto ko Leni Leni Leni!
‘”Ang gusto ko, liwanag sa dilim! Yun ang gusto ko kaya huwag nyo akong ma-Terry Terry dahil ang gusto ko, Leni! Leni! Leni! Laban! Laban! Laban! Leni! Leni! Leni!”
The actress caught the attention of netizens since they noticed that she did not mention the vice presidentiable bid and husband of her friend Sharon Cuneta’s name Kiko Pangilinan.

The Kakampink Peoples Rally also coincided with the birthday of presidential candidate VP Leni Robredo.
Upon noticing Soriano’s failure to mention Pangilinan, they reacted.
A netizen explained that even Soriano did not endorse Kiko and only shouted Robredo’s name.
The netizen even speculated that Cuneta must have been taken aback because of this. Finally, a suggestion was raised that it should not be permitted to not endorse both of them.

Another netizen came to the rescue for Soriano by suggesting not to create issues anymore out of what happened.
Despite Soriano not mentioning Pangilinan, it should be noted that the program was constrained by time and the focus was on the birthday celebrant–Robredo. Besides, they already expressed their support for Robredo and Pangilinan.

Despite the issue, Kiko Pangilinan also tweeted showing that there’s no issue at all via his tweet and quoted Soriano’s famous line with Robredo’s name.
