Bongbong Marcos fails to raise the hand of Joe Zubiri, netizens, Miguel Zubiri react

The son of the Bukidnon Governor and re-electionist Miguel Zubiri released a statement highlighting that there is a simple miscommunication between his father and Bongbong Marcos.

The March 31 (Thursday) rally of the UniTeam of Ferdinand ‘Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Sarah Duterte-Carpio in Malaybay, Bukidnon caught the attention of the Kakampinks on a video posted where it was seen that the presidential candidate, Marcos Jr. refused to raise the hand of Congressional candidate and Bukidnon Governor Joe Zubiri, the father of re-electionist Senator Miguel Zubiri.

Federico Pascual, Philippine Star columnist, tweeted speculating that maybe Marcos Jr thought that all the people around him were already paid which gave him already the right to humiliate.

One netizen narrated that he showed the circulating video about the non-raising of the hand of Zubiri by Marcos Jr to a resident of Bukidnon. The resident, a Marcos Jr supporter, reacted that despite his not for Zubiri, there should be at least respect for the elder having served as Governor and Congressman for Bukidnon.

On the issue of an ally in need, but later being wasted, a netizen reminded the public that the Marcoses have a history of using local political allies and later discarding them.

Another netizen supported and added that his allies should know it by now.

Some netizens taunted Miguel Zubiri for his support of Marcos and how awkward the scenario was.

A netizen’s reaction pointed out and summarized the issue as the nature of politics.

The son of the Bukidnon Governor and re-electionist Miguel Zubiri released a statement highlighting that there is a simple miscommunication between his father and Bongbong Marcos.

He believes that people are just creating a controversy out of the scenario in the rally. He added that he is in disbelief of the number of people who attended the really which should be the one to be highlighted and not the simple issue.
