Is the Bongbong Marcos hype over? Canceled UniTeam rallies leave supporters dismayed

Aside from recently becoming a rare attendee at his own events, Marcos explaining his policies to the public while millions are watching is also infrequent

UniTeam supporters feel less important every week that passes due to the cancellation of rallies.

The believers of the Marcos-Duterte tandem in Dasmariñas waited hours just for a spokesperson to inform them that the two would not be continuing their rally. Videos of them waiting for their idols to arrive circulated on social media.

The organizers were just as disappointed as the hundreds of supporters who wasted their time for nothing.

Everything was all set, from the stage to the venue, but neither Marcos nor his partner appeared.

Reports said the cancellation was due to a conflict of schedule, a common reason the UniTeam used with the previous rescheduling of events.

Netizens point out that, unlike Marcos, his rival Vice President Leni Robredo wouldn’t do anything to stand her supporters up. Recently, she decided to take a motorcycle to her rally due to heavy traffic. Her recent rally in Cavite had a turnout of over 47,000.

Following Robredo’s successful trip to Cavite, the UniTeam then canceled their’s in Calapan City as announced by the social media pages “BBM Oriental Mindoro Headquarters and the BBM Youth-Oriental Mindoro.”

In a separate post, Gen. Tom Lantion, Partido Federal ng Pilipinas national secretary-general, also announced that the UniTeam campaign rally in Occidental Mindoro would push through on another date.

Analysts see more voters now leaning towards the Pink nation in areas Marcos is expected to win in a landslide.

Aside from recently becoming a rare attendee at his own events, Marcos explaining his policies to the public while millions are watching is also infrequent.
