Miggy Chavez is the frontman of the 2000s OPM rock band, Chicosci, known for their hits, Diamond Shotgun7 Black RosesA Promise, and more.

The most recent Leni-Kiko grand rally in Caloocan on March 26 , dubbed as Rock & Rosas gathered some of the most popular OPM bands–from current and the previous decades. Miggy Chavez, the frontman of the OPM rock band Chicosci served more than what his band was expected to deliver. He inspired, especially to those the younger generation and to the ones who grew up loving their music.

For anyone who joins these rallies, the treat is always double: you get the words of wisdom and inspiration from the leaders you aspire to be in the government, while you also get the chance to savor the performances of your favorite artists–for free!

Before performing their signature hit Diamond Shotgun, the 40-year-old musician served the crowd with a motivational reminder.

“We have to fight for the life we deserve, the leaders we deserve, and the country we deserve” he declared, articulating his impassioned invitation for the crowd to choose Robredo and Pangilinan.

On twitter, Chavez instantly became a trending topic among netizens, with many users reminiscing their college days, when the band was at the peak of their career and popularity.

Netizen Emil Marañon III shared in a post “You have no idea who the Chicosci is for us”.

Gerry Cacanindin posted a clip of Chavez’s short but powerful speech, noting how the band’s frontman made “…a powerful stand and a powerful statement”.

Nico Quejano, on the other hand, put an emphasis on why celebrity endorsements are crucial in any presidentiable’s campaign. He shared in a apost “…this is why celebrity endorsement are important. Just thankful that Chicosci is pink

Others just can’t help but go gaga over the good-looking frontman, with most of them going back to their younger days when they were smitten over Chavez.

“Oh shet, Miggy Chavez of Chicosci!!! Highschool crush!” exclaimed Mich.

Chavez took the chance to thank the organizers and the Kakampink crowd for allowing them to perform and show their support for Robredo.

“”Thank you for giving us a chance to show our support, and thank all of you for being here to show your support…” he said.

Based on his latest tweets, looks like the band will join more Pink rallies, as they appear to have also committed to joining the Leni-Kiko people rally in Northern Samar.
