SethDrea says ‘hello’ to stardom via ‘Saying Goodbye’

Both Fedelin and Brillantes came from humble beginnings in show business.

Fedelin and Brillantes are promised a stellar future with a new sensational series that could be their sweetest greeting to fame yet.

The new SethDrea show, Saying Goodbye, is ruling the Asian streaming giant iQiYi as it tops the trending shows in its debut last weekend on the said platform.

The enormously positive response does not surprise them as it isn’t new for the onscreen couple to take away their spectators by storm.

Coming on the heels of the success of the recently-concluded inspirational series Huwag Kang Mangamba, Saying Goodbye is Seth Fedelin and Andrea Brillantes’s return to romcom.

The now nearly three-year love team first plunged into the romance genre via Kadenang Ginto, the phenomenal daytime series that catapulted the four young leads to stardom. SethDrea then went full-swing with romcom via the iWantTFC original filmWild Little Love, where they play high schoolers on the verge of finding romance in each other.

Both Fedelin and Brillantes came from humble beginnings in show business.

The young actress navigated her career from being a child star to a homegrown teen star; it’s a journey to fame that is already more than a decade in the making.

Brillantes went from being the child versions of prominent female stars to playing title roles and major characters in both television and the movies. She had her first big break in 2013 when she played the iconic character of the late Julie Vega, in the modern retelling of the ‘80s soap opera hit,  Annaliza.

Fedelin has a more grounded start. He first emerged as a Pinoy Big Brother teen aspirant in 2018, completing his PBB stint as one of his season’s best-placed housemates.

He has a more dramatic debut on acting, as he straight away took on a very challenging role. In 2019, Fedelin joined the cast of Kadenang Ginto. His entry to the show is also the beginning of SethDrea, his loveteam with Brillantes that later on, surged to massive popularity.

Saying Goodbye isn’t going to be SethDrea’s only big project in at least the next six months. Dreamscape’s Entertainment’s collaboration with iQiYi is set to deliver one of 2022’s most anticipated projects, the musical youth-oriented series, Lyric & Beat, which pays homage to the music of the prolific songwriter, Jonathan Manalo.

With Saying Goodbye being currently streaming via iQiYi, the attention for SethDrea is generated chiefly by the series.

Unlike their previous roles, the Web series sees the onscreen couple tackle more mature characters for the first time. While it is a romcom, Saying Goodbye is also poised to become the perfect venue for Fedelin and Brillantes to showcase their dramatic skills.

The series follows two young individuals—an aspiring pastry chef whose life hangs in the balance and a medical student on the cusp of reaching her dreams—who both navigate their lives, relationships, and dreams through their collective adoration of Yeng Constantino’s music.

In a way, the series is also a tribute to the decorated OPM singer-composer, as it showcases her most popular songs.

Taking an exciting turn in its journey as among the country’s most in-demand love teams, SethDrea is poised to be greeted with far bigger feats as it surges further to become one of the country’s most in-demand onscreen tandems. It may not take too long before they greet the superstardom ‘hello.’
