TV host, Lourd de Veyra’s latest shot at presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos has left the latter’s supporters triggered.
In a segment on One Balita, Lourd gave the viewers a summary of the life of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar.
He started by saying that Escobar was responsible for shipping tons of cocaine to the US, which eventually led to his downfall.
But before he was taken out, many loved Escobar for his contributions to the poor communities despite being a known drug lord.
He also held a seat in Congress in 1982 and had aspirations of becoming president of Colombia.
Many people still admire him even after his death, and cocaine remains high in demand, explained Lourd.
“Malaki pa rin ang demand sa kokaina, tanong mo na lang sa sino mang nangangati ang panga,” Lourd said before a short video of Marcos grinding his teeth was shown on screen.
Grinding of the teeth or bruxism is one of the more common symptoms of cocaine use.
Netizens have noted that Marcos has a habit of grinding his teeth. The observation became more evident when Pres. Rodrigo Duterte claimed that one Palace aspirant from a rich family does cocaine. The people immediately speculated that Duterte was talking about Marcos.
Netizens then praised Lourd for attacking the former senator with no punches back.
