Karen Davila gives Lyca Gairanod some important sex advice

Davila recalled her mother telling her to avoid getting pregnant early unless she already has everything together which she wants the young singer to also take into account

Aside from her viral reaction upon knowing she and Lyca Gairanod share the same birthday, people also talk about Karen Davila’s relationship advice to the singer.

In her vlog, the seasoned broadcaster advised Gairanod to protect her virginity if ever she decides to have a boyfriend.

“For you, Lyca, at sa mga kaedad mo, huwag basta-basta magkaka-boyfriend. So, huwag basta-basta magkaka-boyfriend, and ang mangyayari ibibigay mo na yung virginity mo.

“If you’re still a virgin and you’re a teenager, hold on to your virginity and purity. Kumbaga, huwag yung unang boyfriend mo, ang mangyayari, yun ang iisipin mo.

“Yung unang boyfriend mo, ‘tapos niyan, magse-sex na kayo. And before you know it, break na kayo. And after that, wala na.

“So, you have to parang value yourself,” Davila said.

It’s important that she only gives her body to the right guy.

“So, parang ibinigay mo na ‘yon sa lalaki, wala na, yun na ‘yon. So, wait for the right time, the right guy, and right maturity.”

Davila recalled her mother telling her to avoid getting pregnant early unless she already has everything together, which she wants the young singer also to consider.

“Huwag magpapabuntis nang maaga.

“When we were growing up, nasa college ako, sabi ng nanay ko, ‘Karen, please, huwag kang mabuntis nang hindi ka handa. Kasi lahat ng hinirap natin sa ‘yo, parang mawawala ang focus,’” she said.

Davila became a mother at 32 years old and had two children.

She also stressed the importance of finishing college.

“Finish your studies. It is so tempting na huwag magtapos kasi magtatrabaho. Pero if you can, kayang tapusin ang kolehiyo.”

“Ultimate success formula habang bata kayo, already have a relationship with the Lord,” she said.
