Khalil Ramos shares the reason he stopped going for a buff body

Aside from his body type, he also said that his personality may have been one of the reasons.

  • Khalil Ramos explained that he stopped having intense work-outs because he realized that it’s not really for him.
  • He shared that he felt really welcomed as a Kapuso artist and that there are projects in-store for him in the future.

Newly-signed Kapuso star Khalil Ramos answered the question as to why he stopped going for a much sexier image as he started working out a few years ago.

In a Zoom interview, he said that he realized that as of now, it’s not really something that suits him. One reason is that he doesn’t have the body type and genes to maintain a sculpted body.

“I think it’s really not for me. It’s not for me kasi hindi ko siya body type. As I got to understand my body type, I’m not blessed with the genes with the potential of having a well-built body. I would have to take other supplements that I would rather not take just in order for me to achieve that body. Pero I’d rather stay fit and lean rather than talagang pa-sexy,” Khalil explained.

Though he added that he’s not really closing off the doors from having a sexier image, as of the moment, he’s just not into it.

“I think wala rin sa path ko. Well it’s too early to tell. Maybe in the future it could still happen. Pero as if now, hindi talaga ako inclined to have an image na to be pa-sexy.”

One factor that he considered regarding having the mindset that he has is that he’s very introverted. And having the will to go for a well-built body requires a lot of effort from him.

“I’m very introverted. I’m quite chill lang. Hindi ako masyadong out there so it would take a lot of courage, mga isang dagundong na courage, para lang magpa-sexy ako,” he said.

“Triny ko dati pero mahirap eh. Mahirap i-sustain. Tapos powerlifting. Mas na-in love ako sa the athletes’ factor. Yung fitness factor, hindi yung sa bodybuilding. Hindi yung sa pagpa-ganda ng katawan. Mas nagustuhan ko yung powerlifting.”

Khalil also talked about how he felt after he made the transfer to GMA Network.

“Grabe para akong nagsisimula ulit. Yung feeling ko dahil ang daming mga bagong tao, ang daming new opportunities, parang bumalik ulit ako doon sa feeling na para kang lumulutang lang.”

He added that the people have really made him feel loved and appreciated to the point that he vocally said that he’s not used to receiving that type of support from people.

“Kahat ng tao sobrang bait, lahat ng tao mapagmahal. They’re so appreciative of me. Sinasabi ko nga sa karamihan ng mga tao “di ako sanay.” Sabi ko sa team ko, kina Gabbi, tsaka sa family ko rin. Grabe di ako sanay na ganon. I feel so loved. Sobrang nakaka-taba ng puso. I’m super happy that I’m welcomed this way. Sobrang mainit yung pag-tanggap and I can’t ask for more.”

Khalil has held himself off from hinting about future projects but he did confirm that he will have music-related releases soon and that his fans will also see him on television in the future.
