Cagayan de Oro’s most well-known bar Somewhere Else (SWE) is taking heat for allegedly holding a secret party last Saturday amid the COVID-19 crisis.
Netizen Jekky Mendiola posted a video of people partying inside the bar with loud music playing. It seems they were having a great time.
Obviously social distancing was broken, which is a recommended measure expected to be observed by everyone in the midst of the enhanced community quarantine in the country.
A lot of netizens did not approve of this.

Netizens were disappointed as frontliners across the country are risking their lives, and some even dying just to prevent the spread of the virus.
Hundreds of frontliners aren’t dying around the world just so you could ~party~. Bahala’g muingon ka joke ra ni and dili ka affected sa imong ~bashers~, it all just shows how tasteless and inconsiderate you are as a person.

Content creator Gigi Esguerra, who has created a strong following on social media due to her opinions on things, also did not like what she saw.
You dumbasses dont know how much HARM this can cause. Frontliners are risking their lives in case you asshats get the fucking virus. YOU’RE PUTTING INNOCENT LIVES IN DANGER. Putangina hindi niyo man lang pinagpaliban yan noh, tamod na tamod na ba kayo??? TIKOL NIYO NALANG YAN CHE https://t.co/EGzRgWLgqm

Somewhere Else CDO cleared things up saying that the video posted was from months ago.
Somewhere Else CDO remains closed during the duration of the Community Quarantine. We did not have a secret party last weekend, the video that circulated was a throwback to one of our weekend parties this year. Stay home, stay safe. We’ll be back soon.

The supporters of the club said that the video was just posted for ‘clout’.

SWE opened back in 2015, and famous DJs in the country would go there and party from time to time.
