Other Netizens praised the boy’s ingenuity to solve his lacking of school supplies despite the overbearing weight of financial constraints.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin Jr. chimed in on Rappler’s coverage of this story with, “What is this boy’s address? Every office has spare ballpens, all together thousands. Every office can afford to restock. Not just for this boy but all kids in situations that embarrass us for our neglect. Don’t donate money instead; it will only get stolen.”
