Careless passenger rides wrong rider, making her believe in karma

  • She was in a hurry because she was so late that Lorrilyn decided to get an on-call motorcycle rider
  • Lorrilyn’s reason is that the driver was using a helmet which covered the face of the driver which is why she wasn’t able to recognize him
  • Later on, when the rider chat’s was looking for her, she realized that she was on the wrong rider and her rider was still waiting for her

On-call drivers, using mobile applications, are some of the fastest modes of transportation nowadays. With just one click, a driver nearby is automatically assigned to you.

But there are some instances, especially when in a hurry, that passengers forget to confirm if a driver is the one really intended for you.

Just like what Lorrilyn Love Calilim posted on her Facebook account on Tuesday: “That sometimes you have to believe in karma. She was in a hurry because she was so late that Lorrilyn decided to get an on-call motorcycle rider. But unfortunately, she rode on the other rider who was assigned to someone else.

Lorrilyn’s reason is that the driver was using a helmet which covered the face that is why she wasn’t able to recognize him.

“Sometimes u have to believe in karma. Sa pagmamadali ko dahil super late nako, ibang rider pala nasakyan ko and at the same time, iba din ang napasakay nya. yeah! u read it right. paano ko makikita ang muka kung naka cover ang face.”

It wasn’t really her intention. It must have been coincidental that Lorrilyn’s rider chatted her that he was already on her site and since there was a rider who just came in, she immediately rode on it without asking, and the rider was also thinking the same way she thought.

Therefore, both of them left someone still waiting: a rider waiting for his passenger, and a passenger waiting for his rider.

“Nagchat sakin ang RIDER KO TALAGA, sabi nya nasa gilid nya ko and nasaktohan na may rider na dumating sagilid ko at ibang tao pala ipickup nya at hindi ako. Pareho kaming may naiwan sa ere.”

Later on, when the rider’s chat was looking for her, she realized that she was on the wrong rider and her rider was still waiting for her, so she returned to her real rider. The good karma was that her rider was so kind and accepted her apologies but then she was much later than she already was.

“So sorry sa naabala naming dalawa. and yeah u have to believe in karma kasi NAHULI KAMI. AT LALO AKO NALATE THE GOOD KARMA IS. MABAIT YUNG NAPAGIWANAN KO SA ERE LESSON DITO TANUNGIN MUNA PANGALAN BAGO SUMAKAY.”

Lorrilyn’s advice, based on her experience, suggests you first the ask the rider’s name before taking the ride.
