New ‘Darna’ director plans to change script and costume

  • Jerold Tarog revealed that he’s going to change the script of the Darna film.
  • He also said that he’s planning to make big changes to the heroine’s costume.

At the DVD launch of historical movie Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral by TBA Productions, director Jerold Tarog, who is the current director of the upcoming movie Darna, admitted that he needs to make a few changes from the work that has been done by its previous director, Erik Matti.

He also admitted that there’s no updates so far about the movie that will star Liza Soberano.

He said that he wanted the story to be deeper and more meaningful.

“Nagte-take off ako doon sa draft nila, so mula doon kailangan ko mag-research ng kaunti, so medyo may reset ng kaunti.”

Even if there will be changes to the script, he clarified that there will be no changes with the movie’s cast.

“In this case kasi si Liza lang naman ang naka-lock talaga e. Okay naman ako doon wala namang problema.”

Tarog added that he will actually change the costume of Darna.

“May mga gagawin pa kami na additional for the costumes, mas praktikal.

When asked about Soberano, he said that they still haven’t talked to each other.

I’m looking forward to work with her.”
