2 GMA Network prime time teleseryes to bid goodbye soon

  • Onanay and Pamilya Roces are both rumored to end soon.
  • One has hinted about the finale of the series and the other has been having a hard time keeping up with its ratings.

Two Kapuso teleseryes are rumored to be ending in-not-so-distant-future.

The first one is the drama series Onanay, starring Mikee Quintos, Kate Valdez, Jo Berry, Cherie Gil, and Nora Aunor.

The story revolves around Natalie (Valdez) and Maila (Quintos) who receive different treatment by their mother Onay (Berry) who has Achondroplasia.

In the recent episodes, Natalie’s dislike toward her sister grew even more as she thought that Maila left her after being injured. They were supposed to be friends again, she still can’t help but feel the hate blooming inside her.

Helena (Gil) has taken advantage of the situation and brainwashed her even more to think that Natalie didn’t take care of her.

A teaser video has ended saying, “Sa malapit na pagtatapos ng Onanay…”

The show has been strong in terms of its ratings as it continuously catches up with its time rival, ABS-CBN’s Ngayon at Kailanman.

The second show rumored show to be nearing its end is Pamilya Roces, starring Carla Abellana, Gabbi Garcia, Sophie Albert, Shaira Diaz, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.

It is said to end anytime soon without even completing its first season due to poor ratings and is even having difficulty beating the rival show’s ratings, which is ABS-CBN’s Halik.

GMA Network has a six-week policy–if a series doesn’t rate well in the first six weeks of airing, the Network will give them a seventh week to pick up but if the show doesn’t improve, the show will suffer the consequence of saying goodbye.
