“Nagtago po ako, nag-abroad po ako.” Laarni Lozada reveals her shocking experience in showbiz

  • Pinoy Dream Academy’s Laarni Lozada revealed her whereabouts after taking a hiatus from show business
  • She said that she left the country before because of the bashers she encountered.

Laarni Lozada was the grand champion of the second season of ABS-CBN’s singing competition Pinoy Dream Academy (PDA). But unlike her batchmates Bugoy Drilon, Cris Pastor, Miguel Mendoza and Liezel Garcia, she decided to take a break from the entertainment industry.

So where did she go after PDA and her short stint at ASAP? She said that she continued her studies in Philippine Women’s University.

“Pinagpatuloy ko kasi ‘yung pag-aaral ko. Naka-graduate naman po ako ng kursong Bachelor of Science in Education major in English sa Philippine Women’s University (PWU).”

She remembered that when she was still a contestant, there were rumors that she was uncooperative in some of the tasks. She explained that it was only for the protection of her family.

I protected my parents.

The singer admitted that she suffered from all the bashing and the system in the entertainment industry.

And that time, ‘yung family ko po, nasa probinsiya.

So this resulted to her travelling to another country to escape it all.

But what happened to her relationship with other former contestants? Laarni admitted that unfortunately, they didn’t maintain their friendship after PDA.

“Actually, sila ‘yung mga naging close after naming lumabas sa PDA.
