  • Filipino-American Hannahlei Cabanilla won the 15th season of So You Think You Can Dance.
  • She competed in the finals against Jensen Arnold, Salavik Pustovoytov, and Genessy Castillo.

The 15th season of the Fox reality competition So You Think You Can Dance came to a close on Monday night, September 10. It was finally revealed who among finalists Jensen Arnold, Salavik Pustovoytov, Hannahlei Cabanilla, or Genessy Castillo got the title.

Prior to the revelation of the results of the text votes, the show treated its viewers to the highlights of the season.

Each finalist and judge then chose a duet that they’d like to see again. Hannahlei and Cole did their cha-cha, Jensen and Jay Jay with their hip-hop dance, and Darius performed an LGBT-focused piece with Taylor Sieve.

Hannalei and Jensen were revealed to have gotten the most votes and had the closest margin in the show’s history.

When it came to the results, the 18 year-old Filipino-American dancer was announced as the winner!

She took home $250,000, a magazine cover, and a role in Fox’s live broadcast of award-winning musical Rent, which is scheduled to air on January 27, 2019.
