Jay Sonza comments on Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s ‘SONA’

  • Broadcaster Jay Sonza shared his take on the 2018 State of the Nation Address (SONA).
  • VP Leni Robredo and the opposition didn’t escape from Sonza’s hints.

Veteran broadcaster Jay Sonza recently posted about his feedback regarding this year’s State of the Nation Address (SONA).

On his Facebook post dated July 25, he mentioned five points why he thought that the SONA was “useless”.

Sonza sarcastically addressed President Rodrigo Duterte‘s lack of cursing throughout his speech.

“hindi man lang nagmura kahit minsan si digong. nasanay na silang mura ng mura si mayor pag may gustong bigyan diin. wala ni isang mura man lang. napakacorny mo naman sir.”

People were surprised when the President delivered a short, well-thought, and expletive-free SONA.

The broadcaster’s third point was that the opposition gathered and rallied to the Congress but the only thing that they got from President Duterte is a reminder for them to pay their taxes right.

He then added, “lumuwas ng kamaynilaan ang mga pulahan terorista, kasama ang kanilang mga kapanalig sa kagubatan ng lunsod tulad ng bayan muna, kmu. kadamay, gabriela, lfs, kmb at iba sa paghahanda na tuligsain sila ng pangulo. wala man lang kahit isang linya ang binanggit tungkol sa mga pulahan. as if you are nothing and you do not count anymore.”

It was mentioned that even if the SONA was “boringly clear and truthful” and thus left no room for negative thoughts. According to Sonza, even if that’s the case, he’s sure that the opposition and critics will surely find some issues for them to tackle about.

ANG SABI NG MGA KRITIKO. THE SONA WAS BORINGLY CLEAR AND TRUTHFULL. IT LEFT NO ROOM FOR NEGATIVE THOUGHTS.
But I am sure the opposition and the critics will always find some issues or invent some to suit them, not mindful whether the people are bored to death with their antics.
