Hey, I’m no gym enthusiast but I can definitely separate the good ones from the not so good ones.
New Gym in town
It has come to a point when staying fit and healthy is a top priority for us Filipinos. Fitness gyms sprout like mushrooms, admit it or not. I don’t want to sound tacky but only those who have keen eyes can see the establishments that care for its customers. Many offer top-quality machines and equipment, but service-wise? A big flak.
Lucky for me, I got to experience a gym that not only caters quality equipment, but also superb customer service. Sorry for making you all wait, but we are talking about this newly-opened Snap Fitness Gym in Congressional Extension, Quezon City. And here is a list of reasons why you should definitely try the new gym in town.
International and humble background
Primarily, Snap Fitness Gym came from the US and the Congressional branch is actually the third franchise, one from Cubao and another from Timog. It is a well-known brand abroad that extended its reach to the Philippines. It may not be your mainstream gym (yet!), but it can totally outdo yours.
A product of love
By this, you would know that this franchise was not made to milk cash from its customers like a cow. It is, indeed, a product of love. Five med school friends (Carlo Bagunu, Lois Araneta, Virgilio Vinluan, Chihiro Sakai, and Abbey Villafranca) who happened to be gym lovers have collaborated for this business partnership. They are definitely the definition of #SquadGoals. But it’s not all sweet, before Snap Fitness Gym was built, it was actually all sweat. Kudos to this group of friends!
A gym that cares
As stated above, the gym is owned by licensed doctors. That pretty much says it all. What’s a better way to work out knowing that you are under the guidance of the people whose profession best fit this kind of lifestyle. When asked about what could be their edge to the mainstream gyms, they said, “Since we are a group of doctors, we offer a holistic approach for an individual to adapt a lifestyle that is suitable for him and we will be there every step of the way.”
Not only that, their facilities are superb, complete equipment, literally everything that you wished for in a gym. The owners’ gym experiences honed them to be a wise businessmen as they know the pulse of the people. They know what the majority wants, and they used it to build up Snap Fitness.
Definitely affordable
We have encountered gyms that have overpriced rates, and there are the ones who has cheaper prices but you’ll get cheap services too. Well, with Snap Fitness, affordability did not compromise its quality service. They offer the same services that expensive gyms cater without damaging one’s income. Does this sound heaven over here?
They are currently selling services at a promo price, but the rates would 1,900php/month (1 year contract), 2,200php/month (6-month contact). Another good thing about their rates is that they offer short-time promo for those who do not want to commit for a long time; 2,500php/month (2-month contract). These rates for a prestige gym? Good catch, isn’t it? Note that prices may vary.
24/7 Service
This is actually a part of the third reason, but we are going to highlight this. As stated above, the prices are really affordable considering its great customer service, top-quality equipment, plus it is open 24/7! It matches everyone’s lifestyle. For those who don’t have time to work out in the morning, they can always go to Snap Fitness at night.

What’s a gym without its official partners, right? Another edge of Snap Fitness is that it is loaded with equally caring sponsors.
Lighting on point
Since we have tackled about pretty much everything that you need to know, let’s talk about the small things that can probably mean big to you. First up, good lighting! We, Filipinos, always want to look good for ourselves. You should know that good lighting is a key. With its over-looking and see-through setup, Snap Fitness will totally win you.
Gender neutral restrooms
One of the growing problems that plague every gym in town is the bathrooms. For Snap Fitness, it is not. Besides the normal ones, they cater unisex bathrooms. You just have to wait for your turn. Eyes might roll, but we should start accepting that we live in a free and safe environment. (I’m deeply sorry I wasn’t able to document this, but rest assured this is true.)
