In the recent grand launch of his upcoming concert, Jake Zyrus answered all the issues being thrown at him once and for all. We got the chance to personally interview Jake Zyrus himself, and we can’t help but admire his honesty.

Current fear

When asked if there’s still something that he is really scared of, he jokingly said, ‘ipis’. But kidding aside, he admits that he feels ‘completely free’.

“As long as na may nararamdaman kang fear, sobrang iba yung feeling. Iba yung feeling ‘pag may natitira pang fear sayo. Yung feeling na hindi mo pa nile-let go yung sarili mo to be completely free,” he said. “So ngayon, I guess, no fear and I feel completely free,” he added.

There’s a saying that goes ‘once you come out, you can never go back’, and that’s what exactly Jake Zyrus did. He became true to himself. He stood up and stayed dignified of what he truly feels.

His edge to Charice

“Masaya ako,” he briefly said.

“Kasi alam ko, siya masaya para sa ibang tao pero hindi siya masaya sa sarili niya,” he further explained. “The difference is that I have both. I’m happy with the people who love me, and I am happy for the people I love. I am happy for myself at the same time,” he added.

We never know how hard it was for him living in a world that is not for you. Now that he is finally free, he can do anything that he wants without anyone to hinder him.

Let’s all now be happy for Jake Zyrus and support his upcoming concert on October 6, 8PM at the Music Museum. Tickets and details are available at Ticketworld and SM Tickets.
