Now that the Lenten Season is here, God from above just gave us sightings that might prove they are real. Everyone was shocked when a laminated photograph of Jesus and the Virgin Mary was seen crying blood in Carcar City, Southern Cebu. Later that night, the statue of St. Veronica started to weep as well. Residents gathered at the house and prayed for what seemed to be a miracle.

The owner of the house, Val San Diego, is a devoted Catholic, and according to him, he was on his way to Dumanjug, a nearby city, with his family when their maid shouted. He then rushed to the dumbfounded main, and, he, too was shocked. He saw the statue shedding tears of blood.

These sightings are yet to be explained

“We were more than halfway when our maid called, telling us nga naghilak og dugo (crying in blood),” San Diego said.

The man claimed that the statue belonged to his great grandparents for 130 years now. He said that he is prepared to whatever God’s message to him was. He was unsure though as to how his statues wept blood.

Based on religious beliefs, St. Veronica was the woman who wiped Jesus Christ’s face when he carried the Cross. The local parish has already seen the photos of the weeping images, but their mouth is still shut.
