Stage actress and activist Monique Wilson and her girlfriend of 17 years, Executive Director for Global Product Management of Standard Chartered Rossana Abueva, got married on June 14 at Notting Hill.

In 2012, through an interview with Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist Dolly Anne Carvajal, Wilson, 45, admitted she was a lesbian. But her sexuality never hindered her career, even as Miss Saigon. Wilson, next to singer-actress Aiza Seguerra, is the second Pinay celebrity have a same-sex marriage.

  1. Forever- definition:adverb
    1.for all future time; for always.
    2.continually

    I have a question: I hate to be a pessimist, but in terms of “continuity” and “for all future time” – these relationships would end in death, correct?
    Death=mortal.
    Mortal=not permanent.
    This relationship could be kinda permanent IF they pass on their genes to their offspring. But this is biologically impossible. Hence, there is NO continuity.

    In short, #WalangForever. So no, these couples do not make me believe in forever. But that’s just me. 🙂

  2. Believing only in “Forever” biologically through offspring is very shallow. Something “Forever” can manifest in many forms such as legacies and other positive outputs that those couples will be able to do, that even death cannot just erase. Having children is also not a “guarantee” of continuity. So I believe that these couples can achieve forever, that is my opinion, but only time can tell. 🙂
