Parents find leather sticker inside their daughter’s private part, blames school staff

CHINA. The parents of a two-year-old girl were shocked when they found a foreign object in her vagina.

Last July 7, just like what she always does, Mrs. Lim picked up her two daughters from a childcare center in Woodlands.  However, when they went home, she was surprised that her younger child was screaming while pointing to her private part.

The 45-year-old father, Mr. Lim, told the Shin Min Daily News that they did not find anything unusual when they took the toddler’s pants off. When their daughter started crying, Mrs. Lim looked inside the girl’s private part and found a leather sticker—the kind that is used on furniture—about the size of a 5-cent coin.

The couple rushed their daughter to a physician who suggested they go to the hospital. Following a medical exam, the doctor advised the parents to file a police report.

According to the police officer who was handling the case, investigations are now ongoing, as reported by The New Paper.

Mr. Lim described how his daughter would cry when they apply medicine on her wound. “Our hearts ache, too, seeing her in this state,” he said.

The little tot was traumatized after the incident. There were times when she would tell her mommy that she is in pain and Mrs. Lim would have to keep her company so she could sleep.

Mr. Lim believes that an adult purposely put a sticker in his daughter’s private part. This came after their series of complaints with the childcare center. They found insect bites on the girl’s left hand last month. The staff did not want to admit her in their classes, suspecting she may have hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD).

Mr. Lim explained how they went to a family doctor to get proof that their daughter did not have HFMD so she could attend school again.

There was also a time when they talked to the school staff about a mix-up with their daughter’s bottled water and how she would easily run out of diaper supply.

These complaints might have resulted to anger and irritation on part of the school staff leading to the sticker incident, Mr Lim suspects.

The spokesman for the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) stated that they were informed about the case, adding that they are working with the childcare center to guarantee that the rest of the students will not be adversely affected

News reports also confirmed that the police are already investigating the CCTV footage inside the school.

Meanwhile, no teacher has been suspended, as per Shin Min Daily News.
