Netizens reveal alleged ‘cancer-causing pads’ found inside bras

Facebook posts about beads found inside bra silicone pads have been creating a buzz on social media. Photos shared by online user Julie Ann Villar Martin revealed that the bra pads contained these white-colored beads which supposedly can cause breast cancer.

In a post made on July 13, Martin said she was alarmed after she discovered her bras contained the same silicone pads she read in a Facebook post that said they caused breast cancer. She decided to warn others to go check their bras for the same ‘dangerous’ content. She got really worried because she bought the expensive bra from a department store and not from a tiangge or street stall.

Last July 22, another netizen posted a video of herself removing the silicone pads from her bra. Princess H. F. Delgado revealed she had bought the bra from Baclaran.

While comments about the viral posts expressed concerns and warnings about using these cancer-causing bras, these allegations have yet to be proven. Perhaps the proper government agencies should look into this and settle the fears of consumers once and for all.
