Couple allegedly dies due to suspected food poisoning at McDonald’s Evia

A series of messages claiming that a couple allegedly died due to suspected food poisoning at McDonald’s Evia has been circulating on social media.

In one of the messages which apparently originated from [name withheld], it was reported that the brother and sister-in-law of a certain Bob Escanos passed away hours after “ingesting toxin” from McDonald’s Evia along Daang Hari. A second message from Montemayor confirmed that the incident indeed happened.

In the third message sent by an unidentified person, a certain Pj, who was at an unnamed hospital at around 2 a.m., also confirmed that the wife died while in the car while the husband expired at the hospital.

The source of the circulating message has yet to be identified.

Meanwhile, McDonald’s released an official statement, through their PR Agency EON Inc, regarding the incident through e-mail. The fast food giant, which is currently conducting an investigation, said that the information in the series of messages has not been verified by the authorities.
