A Woman Complains of the Long Line. What Happens Next Will Surprise You

Waiting in a long line to pay your bills can get the best of you. Spending your precious time standing and waiting not only makes you unproductive, it also makes you irate.

In a video uploaded by Meralco on July 16, a lady customer was seen complaining of the long line inside Meralco Business Center on Espana. Apparently, Meralco was just launching via flash mob its first prepaid electricity service, which will save its customers from waiting in long lines.

Watch the video below.

Meralco, the country’s biggest power distributor, has officially rolled out its Prepaid Retail Electric Service (PRES) or Kuryente Load in selected areas in Manila, Taytay, Angono, Binangonan, and Cainta, Rizal.

About 8,000 Meralco customers now have access to Meralco’s first prepaid electricity service. Through Kuryente Load, consumers can now take control of their electric consumption allowing them to save up to 20 percent in electricity expenses. Customers are allowed to monitor and control their consumption through daily balance notifications on their mobile phones.

Instead of paying for your monthly bill, you can simply buy Kuryente Load in denominations as low as P100 in Meralco Business Centers, Bayad Centers, and selected e-load retailers such as Mini Stop, Robinsons Mall, Generika, and other convenience stores.

Aside from allowing customers to take control of their monthly budget for electricity, Kuryente Load makes Meralco’s service more accessible for the previously unserved customers.

“There are no service fees, no bill deposit and no meter installation fee, making it more accessible for the previously unserved customers,” Meralco said in a statement.
