The Filharmonic boy band composed of vocalists VJ Rosales, Joe Caigoy, Trace Gaynor, and Barry Fortgang, beat boxer Niko Del Rey, and vocal bass Jules Cruz came together in 2013 after friendly chance encounters in various singing competitions. Coming from a wide array of backgrounds in the performing arts field including a cappella, pop, classical, theatre, jazz, and opera, the Los Angeles-based boy band channels “urbanesque hip-hop sound with ’90s nostalgia”

The group first caught the public’s attention after being featured in NBC’s hit musical contest The Sing Off. They made it to the competition’s semi-finals giving them the opportunity to perform with Black Eyed Peas, Pentatonix, and Linkin Park during the show’s nationwide tour.

Ultimately, The Filharmonic aspires to work with the legends in the music industry and hopes to bring honor to their Pinoy roots through their musical performances.
