Photo of “Darkest Baby in the World” sparks debate Whether it was Real or Fake

A photo of the “darkest baby in the world” has been trending online lately. Several blogs are billing the baby as a record holder for having the darkest skin (though it’s dubious that the Guinness World Records has such a racist category.)

This baby was allegedly born in South Africa just recently, reports RachFeed.

Still, information regarding this child is so scarce that it is hard to determine the authenticity of reports that this is a real baby. As pointed out, the child’s eyes look totally black that it resembles a doll more than a real child.

The photo has piqued the interest of netizens, resulting in the photo going viral and sparking a heated debate on going on Reddit regarding its authenticity.

Could this be a photo of a real baby or could this be another fake? We’re not so sure, either.

Another photo was shared by Social Trends, showing a baby much older than the one in the first photo, but also exhibiting the same skin coloration. Is it possible that the baby was older than just a few weeks or is there another child with the same coloration somewhere in the world where the second photo was taken?

As with most intriguing viral photos, we get more questions than real answers.
