A Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight stewardess is alleged of answering back a passenger during flight PR 2201.
According to Facebook user Jong Soo Hwa, the flight stewardess rudely answered a lady passenger who asked why the particular flight was delayed.
Hwa captured the video of the incident and posted it on his Facebook account on March 19 gaining more than 180,000 views and over 600 shares as of posting.
The short video clip showed the flight stewardess telling the passenger “We’re announcing it” in a high-pitched voice. Just moments after she said that, the flight stewardess repeated the statement in a normal pitch.
Towards the end of the video, another flight stewardess approached Hwa, who was recording the video. The flight stewardess politely requested Hwa to delete the video but the latter refused to grant her request.
In the video, Hwa was heard telling the flight stewardess “Kung ayaw ko, anong gagawin mo?”.
In his Facebook account, Hwa claimed that he wasn’t able to capture the whole argument between the lady passenger and the flight stewardess. However, he emphasised that he was shocked with the “rude” stewardess’ answer to the passenger’s question.

Several netizens expressed their opinion regarding the issue. Based on the video, most of them believe that the flight stewardess did not do anything wrong. Instead, they accused Hwa as the one being rude in the situation.
As of press time, the administration of Philippine Airlines has not released a statement regarding the issue.

Mas nakakainis pa nga yung woman na kausap ng stewardess, napaka arrogant ng dating. Pag laliman natin pag-iisip, yung stewardess gusto rin nyang umuwi na sa pamilya nya na kagaya ng mga pasahero. Hindi nya kagustuhan na ma-delay at wala syang control sa sitwasyon na yan. Chill lang. 🙂

Attention whore yong kumuha ng video na yan. He has no business on capturing that particular scene since the duty FA is only doing her job. The guy who took the video is the one who should be reprimanded since he is the first to provoke a senseless argument with that FA. Nakakahiya ka kung sino ka man. A person with the right mind won’t even do that or at least argue with that kind of situation.
No need to arguments kadalasan nang yayari yang dalay ang flight, minsan inaayos pa ang sasakyan natin.at maraming check point.
The Pax taking video is rude, should his behavior escalate further tantamount of being an unruly pax and if I was the flight crew I will off load the said pax. We never know what will happened next or additional action of the pax after airborne. Situation like this should be resolved while the aircraft is still on ground when everything is manageable. Because in flight this is already a safety issue, under ICAO rules unruly pax should be off loaded. Typical incident is the Melissa Mendez incident last week.
The only thing this video shows is how retarded and uneducated the video taker is. Such a shame that a person like that exist. Everyone is not perfect so who does he think he is.
No need to arguments kadalasan nang yayari yang delay ang flight, hindi po naiiwasan yun for check up ng ating sasakyan para maiwasan po ang anumang accidente.wala akung nakitang masama sa stewardess yung pasahero lng at may hawak ng video ang arogante walang respeto….
Dapat Sa stewardess nag advise sa pilot that we have pax non complying our instructions. Under CAAAP rules all gadgets that may interfere aircraft navigation should be turned off during flight. In this sense if the pax is hard headed which I think she/he is then the pax should be off loaded. PNP ASG assistance if needed may be requested.
Uhhh… according to Philippine Civil Air regulation, pinapapatay ang cellphone at iba pang electronic devices before boarding prior to take-off, and prior to landing. Pwede naman siya buksan ulit during cruise phase ng flight.
So why is the cellphone turned on prior to take off? I see no problem between the F.A. and then complaining passenger. The problem in this video is the ignorant bastard who is recording the video!
Sa airline din ako nagwowork dito sa canada. Bawal talaga ang magvideo or kumuha ng pictures ng mga employee ng airline.kapag ganyan pinapadampot nmin sa security. At kapag ganyan na rude ang passanger inoofload namin yan from the flight. And dito di ka pwede maging ruse aa mg airline agent kasi ibloblock ka na nila at never ka na makakasakay ng airline na yun… dyan kasi sa atin porket nagbabayad ka ang tingin sa nagbibigay ng service alila mo kaya pwede mo gawin at sabihin ang gusto mo. Sa service industry, airline man or landbase may karapatan ang staff magtaas ng boses to emphasize a point lalo na kung di nakikinig ang kausap… But in a profesional way,.. Puti man or Kapaa Filipino.

I didn’t see anything wrong with the response of the flight attendant. She answered the woman correctly. The flight attendant has the right to ask this arrogant bastard who took the video to delete it. What a shame. Funny is he got the nerves to post this video e siya itong bastos

What the heck? I was on that plane. I was seated across the aisle from the guy who took this video. The stewardess was being berated over and over by the woman for something she has no control over. After a couple of exchanges with that arrogant woman she surely will get somewhat pissed. I actually, think the stewardess handled it well. Its pretty obvious that stewardesses can’t do anything to expedite ground control documents. But what they can damn well do is to try to appease the passengers which she tried to do.
Seriously, the woman was very arrogant, and the guy who took this video was just as belligerent. Kept on yapping about how the flight crew were at fault even insinuating that they were ignoramuses. Pretty irritating to be honest. He and his travelling partner were haughty the entire flight. This guy just wants to have a trending video online and he got it. what a prick. He should have uploaded the entire video not just this tiny snippet where the stewardess almost lost her cool.
If PAL or the stewardess would need or want someone(who is also a passenger affected by the delayed flight) to air out the other side of the fence , I am just here to gladly share my account and opinion on the matter.
The uploader, Lorenzo Aperocho Alba(FB) or Joon Soo Wa or whatever his name is… is not the revolutionary hero on a high horse that he thinks he is. If you disagree Mr. Alba, then reply to me about it.
